Our Students & Adults

At NJEDDA, we view the toddlers, students, and young adults with disabilities we serve as “people first.” That means that regardless of the diagnosis or challenges they bring with them, we see each person as a unique individual, with dreams, hopes, preferences, and a one-of-a-kind personality.

Those we serve come to us with a wide range of intellectual and developmental disabilities – most have complex combinations of challenges in areas including mobility, communication and learning. Many have medical diagnoses of Cerebral Palsy, seizure disorder, Down syndrome, Rhett’s Syndrome, Autism, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Fragile X syndrome and other rare genetic and chromosomal conditions.
